About this system

What Luvhengo Family Reunion is, and why it exists

Luvhengo Family Reunion keeps the Luvhengo family fund honest and easy to follow. Every member contributes a base amount each month, and that amount grows when a member registers beneficiaries or a Plus 1 who shares in the household's obligation. Every contribution is verified against the family's real FNB bank statements - nothing is marked paid just because someone says so.

Alongside the money, the system holds a living family tree: who belongs to whom, who has passed on, and how new generations connect back to Luvhengo Mavhungu Mashila. The tree is entirely separate from the payment side - adding a child or a spouse to the tree never changes anyone's monthly obligation on its own, except where a Plus 1 is deliberately linked as a shared contributor.

The system is built to answer, at a glance, for any member or admin:

  • Who has paid this month, and who hasn't?
  • How much has the family fund actually received, versus what's expected?
  • Where does everyone sit in the family, going back to the matriarch?
  • Who among us has passed on, and is remembered here?

It exists so that no one has to take anyone else's word for it, and so the family's history and its finances are both kept in one honest place.
